Description
Instructor: Ayana Williams
For ages 13+ (all participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
Spend a fun fall day crafting with your best friend! Local artist Ayana Williams will lead students through creating pom pom “flowers” of all sizes and colors to put together a unique fall bouquet! Each bouquet will come with your choice of thrifted vase. To encourage crafting alongside a friend or family member, WAC Studios is now offering a “bring a friend rate” with each regular or members’ ticket purchased. Creating art beside a friend is always better than by yourself!
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Ayana Williams is a multidisciplinary artist and art therapist whose work centers on healing, self-expression, and human connection. She creates intuitively, allowing each piece to dictate its own form and selecting materials based on emotion, energy, and intention rather than limiting herself to one medium. Influenced by her upbringing as a military child, her work reflects themes of adaptability, vulnerability, growth and whimsy. Lately, she has been exploring texture and play through pom-pom-based work, embracing softness and experimentation as essential parts of her creative process.
