Print, Stitch, & Paint (3 weeks)

In this three-part workshop, students will first explore experimental printmaking with Diana Abouchacra, including monoprinting, printing with found objects, and linoleum carving. In class two, Jasmine Jones will walk students through cutting, binding, and stitching their own small sketchbook, including pages made from prints during class one. Finally, students bring the pages of their handmade sketchbook to life with fluid, playful ink painting and personal expression, led by Christy Corey. Diana, Jasmine, and Christy are the artists of our current exhibit The In-Between, a show highlighting the dynamics of collaborative artwork.
