Have you ever worried about a friend, neighbor, or loved one who seems unsafe or unwell but weren’t sure how to help? Or visited someone in a rehab or long-term care facility who was afraid to speak up about poor treatment?
Join us for an important educational program with representatives from the Connecticut Long-Term Care Ombudsman program. Learn how Ombudsmen advocate for individuals in skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, investigate complaints and work to protect residents from abuse and neglect.
You'll also hear from a Community Ombudsman, who supports older adults living at home by connecting them to resources that help them remain safely in the community.
Attend either session to gain valuable information and bring your questions. Together, we can protect and support our most vulnerable neighbors.
