Windsor Cultural Gems Open Their Doors for Free on Connecticut Open House Day – June 14, 2025


The Windsor Arts & Museum Association is thrilled to announce the town’s participation in Connecticut Open House Day on Saturday, June 14, 2025. This annual statewide celebration invites residents and visitors to discover the rich history, art, and culture Connecticut has to offer — and in Windsor, we’re rolling out the welcome mat with free admission to some of our most cherished cultural destinations.

Join us for a day of exploration and inspiration as five of Windsor’s premier cultural organizations open their doors to the public:

Connecticut Valley Tobacco Museum

Experience the unique story of the Connecticut River Valley’s tobacco industry and its impact on local history and economy.

Oliver Ellsworth Homestead

Step into the 18th-century home of one of America’s Founding Fathers and learn about the life and legacy of Oliver Ellsworth, the third Chief Justice of the United States.

Vintage Radio & Communications Museum of Connecticut

Tune into the history of communication technology, from vintage radios to early televisions and broadcasting artifacts.

Windsor Art Center

Immerse yourself in contemporary art exhibits featuring the talents of regional artists in a beautifully restored historic freight house.

Windsor Historical Society

Discover Windsor’s diverse history through interactive exhibits, two historic homes, and a research library.
