Windsor Fife & Drum Corps

About

The Windsor Fife & Drum Corps is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed primarily for young people to preserve the music and history of the 18th century. We strive to establish an environment that encourages loyalty, friendship, teamwork, cooperation, leadership and a dedication to excellence among our members.

Membership is open to young people ages 8 & up and no previous musical or marching experience is required. We offer weekly lessons by seasoned instructors on the fife, snare drum or bass drum. Interested adults are welcome to march in our color guard.

Each year, on the first Saturday following Labor Day in September, we host our annual muster on the Windsor Town Green. A short parade of area fife & drum corps is followed by an afternoon of performances by each group. The event is free and open to the public.

Since marching in our first parade in Windsor in 1985, the Windsor Corps has been representing our town throughout the East Coast, performing to delighted crowds at parades, musters and concerts. We are proud to do our part in helping keep the traditions of fife and drum alive.
