Windsor Federal Bank Awards Grant to Windsor Historical Society for America250 Exhibit

Windsor Historical Society is proud to announce that Windsor Federal Bank has awarded the organization a $3,000 grant and signed on as the lead business sponsor of the Society’s upcoming signature exhibition, “For the Common Good: 250 Years of Windsor Civic Life.” The special exhibit opening February 7, 2026, will be the featured program of the Society’s commemoration activities for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. “For the Common Good” explores the town’s rich legacy of civic engagement and community leadership. The grant will support free public admission to the exhibit for the extent of its run until it closes December 2026.

“We are thrilled that Windsor Federal Bank is joining us as our community partner and lead sponsor for our upcoming exhibit,” said Carrie Taylor, executive director of Windsor Historical Society. “Windsor Federal is a community focused business, and this exhibit highlights diverse stories drawn from our Windsor community. For over 250 years, Windsor residents have worked to promote and defend the rights articulated in the Declaration of Independence — for themselves and for others — through acts of civic engagement. Our hope is that visitors walk away inspired to find new ways to become involved in local civic life.”

Windsor Historical Society’s exhibit and associated programs are part of WindsorCT250 commemoration activities, marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. For more information, visit www.WindsorHistoricalSociety.org or email info@windsorhistoricalsociety.org.
